Position: Accounting Intern
Position Overview:
The Accounting Intern is responsible for the areas of accounting, finance and tax and will work to complete the following list of priority tasks:
-Assist in implementation of QuickBooks small business accounting system
-Post entries for all sales and expense transactions
-Prepare monthly financial statement reports in conjunction with GMF's CPA firm (income statements and balance sheets)
-Perform monthly bank account reconciliations
-Prepare sales tax submission drafts
Requirements include:
-Working towards a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
-Ability to work independently and plan and organize tasks
-Attention to detail with an eye towards generation of work product
-Experience with Excel is required
-Experience with QuickBooks is preferred (but not required)
Please note that this is an unpaid internship with an early-stage company. The intern will work closely with the management team of Green Market Fundraising and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
