Database Analyst (Marketing Operations)



Job Description



A Database Analyst in Marketing Operations is charged with managing the effective and efficient receipt and handling of consumer responses to Client direct response marketing initiatives across all marketing channels, including direct mail, telephone, email, SMS and internet. This includes, but is not limited to, managing third party vendors that specialize in fulfilling catalog orders, answering phones, capturing and transmitting consumer response information, processing coupons and coordinating sweepstakes in support of a Client business. The team's informal mission is "zero delays and zero errors." Specific responsibilities include:



  • Partner with the Client in the development of annual operating plan.

  • Manage vendors with regard to fulfilling catalog orders, answering phones, capturing and transmitting consumer response information, processing coupons and coordinating sweepstakes. Toward this end, provide functional specification and business requirements for each program response device, maintain business process and procedure documentation and answer ad-hoc requests for information.

  • Conduct annual on-site audits of vendor operations and work with them to correct any non-compliance issues.

  • Work with Client to complete program information summaries that govern marketing program "back-end" operational support.



    Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • Up to three years' experience in a related field

  • Proficiency in working with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a team

  • Knowledge of Query and Reporting Tools such as Cognos, Brio or SQL is a plus
