Position: Finance, Inventory, and Vendor Manager

Description: We are looking for an energetic self-starter to lead our financial, inventory, and vendor management. The goal is to make all planning processes effective, efficient, stable, & scalable, and to ensure accurate information is available at all times to make better management decisions. This person will also be responsible for maintaining healthy relationships with vendors and ensuring we receive the best possible service. We will hire the person with the enthusiasm, proven skills and motivation to grow and thrive in this position and with the company. The specifics of this position may change based on candidate's experience, strengths, etc., but will generally include:
Financial Management
• Update monthly budget forecast and financial key performance indicators and present analysis, recommendations, and conclusions to management
• Look for ways to create efficiencies with data entry and interfacing with our back-end ecommerce system
• Identify and manage accounting and financial projects
• Continuously identify inefficiencies and ways to improve profit/reduce cost
• Create and apply fiscal controls and procedures
Inventory Planning / Vendor Management
• Develop, implement, and optimize purchasing and inventory control procedures
• Keep product in stock while maintaining lowest possible inventory levels
• Ensure healthy flow of availability information to customer service
• Review market, price, turnaround time, and trends; develop forecasting models; direct purchasing accordingly
• Review weekly inventory trends adjust purchasing plans accordingly
• Own purchase orders & inventory through receiving & shipment to customer at 3rd party fulfillment center
• Manage suppliers & ensure best inventory allocation, turnaround, price, quality and terms
• Address inventory discrepancies b/w our system and fulfillment center
• Troubleshoot, communicate and resolve billing issues (quantity, pricing, terms, etc.)
Bookkeeping/Accounting
• Responsible for managing an office / data entry assistant
• Accounts Payable (inventory purchases and bills)
• Accounts Receivable (credit card receipts against monthly item sales, manual deposits, paypal receipts)
• Submit and enter payroll and disburse employee benefits
• Reconcile checking account and merchant statements
• Develop process and systems to streamline bookkeeping and accounting tasks
• Help implement checks & balances such as fulfillment house invoices, payment processing and merchant processor fees, vendor credits, credit card charge backs, customer returns, etc.
• Create monthly and quarterly financial reports using QuickBooks and Excel and present and communicate results to management
• Work with customer service and purchasing to make sure all transactions are being properly recorded osCommerce and Quickbooks
Skills and Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5-7 years experience in this type of role
• Detail oriented, analytical thinker with excellent communication skills
• Excellent QuickBooks skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Strong desire to grow with the company
• Strong MS Word, Excel and Internet skills
• Show transparency in work, own position expectations, be a steward of all of the details and an advocate for excellence
The following skills / experience are not required but are preferred:
• Experience with a business that sells inventory
• Experience working with fulfillment / distribution partner
• Direct experience doing accounting/bookkeeping for an e-commerce company

We offer a strong compensation package based on individual & company results upside potential. Levers include salary, individual & company bonuses plus stock options.
We have an entrepreneurial work environment with a lot of autonomy. While a casual environment, work is fast paced and outstanding results are expected. This position is a 40-50+ hour work week. Approximate office hours: M-F, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM.
