Position: Technical Architect

• Responsible for the design of solution architectures.
• Conducts analysis and defines enterprise and application level architectures.
• Evaluates and recommends technical solutions that will improve IT effectiveness on behalf of the client.
• Possesses broad technical knowledge in areas of data, infrastructure and applications architecture; utilizes this knowledge as technical leader for client and team.
• Data architecture: develop and deploy a corporate-wide information model and mapping to individual systems.
• Application integration architecture: design infrastructure for application integration.
• Assist development teams in designing high-performance, integrated applications
• Infrastructure: Business process architecture design for automated business process management.
• Creates system, database, e-business, network, and application architecture standards.
• Documents the standards and mentors Mid-level and Junior developers.
• Experience with open source technologies such as Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP
• Experience with Enterprise Portal (Websphere Portal, BEA, ATG).
• Experience with content management systems is a must (Interwoven, Documentum, Vignette, or a .NET CMS).
• Experience as lead architect/lead designer on more than one project is required.
• Experience/knowledge with/of information systems, architecture/design methods, system and software engineering processes, platforms including Linux, Unix, and Windows, and software languages like Java, .NET, XML, and Perl.
• Experience with application servers such as BEA WebLogic, Websphere, ATG, .NET.
• Working knowledge of hardware concepts and designs, distributed platform design, and implementation of complex enterprise systems.
• Hands-on experience in at least 2-3 of the following systems: UNIX and Windows NT/W2K, Oracle and SQL Server, Java/J2EE, SOAP, XML, Apache, iPlanent, Interwoven, Documentum, Cognos.
• Knowledge of object oriented design, relational databases, and Web technologies preferred.
• Data warehouse design and business intelligence technical leadership a plus.
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• A technical Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 yrs experience.
• Willingness to travel.
