Position: WGNTV.COM Interactive Producer/Designer

This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining content on wgntv.com as well as for designing website elements for a range of sales and marketing objectives.
Major responsibilities include: Producing original and/or unique web elements that will help promote and support the station's brand. Elements may include still or animated graphics, online video, text, sales promotions, contests, web polls, micro sites and rich media. Facilitating ad requests for wgntv.com from trafficking and designing web ads to tracking ad performances. Working closely with sales to create original web promotions and interactive sales presentations. Assisting in the station's text messaging and mobile initiatives.
Ideal candidate is a focused and organized self-starter with excellent communication skills. Has the ability to balance the demands of both long and short-term projects, while meeting daily deadlines. Strong working knowledge of layout and type. College degree in design, marketing, advertising, new media or communications preferred and 2+ years interactive marketing experience or equivalent desired. Experience working with Adobe Photoshop and/or Illustrator. Proficiency in Flash, HTML, Dreamweaver and PowerPoint. Ability to create and design an original micro site preferred. Familiarity working with video and television experience a plus!
